From Nurse to Baker
Hi, I'm Damaris, founder of Maris Bakery.
Before Maris Bakery, I spent years serving others as a nurse. When I became a full-time wife and mother, I discovered a new joy in creating something from my own kitchen. What started as a single loaf baked for my family became the beginning of a dream I never expected.
How Maris Bakery Began
One day I baked banana bread simply because I wanted to. My husband loved it. Friends asked for more. Soon neighbors became customers, and what began in our home grew into selling outside Fry's Marketplace, at local farmers markets, and eventually shipping fresh banana bread across the United States.
More Than Banana Bread
After the birth of our second child, my husband began making nutrient-rich smoothies to help me recover. Some were healthy but difficult to drink because of the pulp, so we started straining them into smooth, refreshing juices. That simple idea became Maris Juices, another way we could serve our community with wholesome ingredients.
Our Mission
We believe that good health begins with the choices we make every day, including the food we eat and the drinks we enjoy. That's why we are intentional about every ingredient that goes into our products.
